Particularly over the last couple of years, the demands of the job have been really stretching, which is great for personal development. I’m frequently exposed to processes that I’m not familiar with. My aim is always to understand them and help improve on their efficiencies.
Julia
Supply Chain Manager
Our Supply Chain team manages our stock availability to ensure the right products go to the right store, working to delivering budget. With over 1,000 stores, this is a very challenging task. We have recently gone through a major change programme to improve our logistics network with better systems and better processes. This investment has also been mirrored in our Distribution Centre employees as we need the right people, with the right skills and attitude so that we can service our stores and customers better than ever before.
Our three Distribution Centres are based in Swindon, Dunstable and our new, state-of-the-art centre in Birmingham.
Warehouse roles
Our DC Operatives are the heart of our logistics network as they make sure that our shelves are fully stocked, therefore keeping our customers happy. Working in our Distribution Centres can be challenging and so it is important that you are flexible, willing to roll your sleeves up and motivated by hard work. We will ensure you receive all the training you need to be successful. Whether you are an FLT Driver or an Operative, your role is vital to the success of our business.
Does this sound like you?
With continuous investment in our logistics network, we are focused on finding the right people to ensure that the optimum level of service is received by our stores. Ideally you will have previous work experience in a retail or similar Distribution Centre environment, but attention to detail, good literacy and numeracy skills and the ability to work independently and to demanding deadlines is essential.
