As a Store Manager, you’ll act as the focal point (potentially for more than one store), driving sales and service standards and working to some strict KPIs, including being fully accountable for profit and loss and managing costs. You’ll also manage the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and training onwards, to help your team progress. Hands-on and practical, you’ll be on the shop floor leading from the front. These challenges call for solid experience. As an experienced retail manager, this won’t faze you – you’ll know the ropes and how to drive your team to deliver the best possible service and sales.
As a Supervisor, you’ll deputise for the manager, running the store in their absence. It’s a great way to gain practical experience, alongside our work-based learning programme, which helps improve skills, qualifications and career prospects. Every day, you’ll be focused on ensuring your store has great standards through a series of checks. You’ll also be the first port of call for people, whenever issues crop up. With experience in customer service and retail, as well as team leadership, you’ll be an excellent communicator who can tackle many management duties. With so much future career potential, this is one of the best stepping stone roles in the business.
