We first started running Post Offices in our stores in 2007. This joint venture was so successful, there are now over 130 with more on the way. The Post Office sells a wide range of products, from foreign currency and travel insurance, to ISAs and credit cards. You’ll be on the frontline, dealing directly with customers. Many people are in a hurry, so you have to give impeccable service in a fast, efficient way.
Travel Money Specialist
Did you know that nearly half of Post Office business comes from travel products? That makes this a key, expert role. You’ll train your colleagues and sell (and up-sell) to customers. It’s the ideal stepping stone for a move into management.
Assistant Branch Manager
This role is all about leading by example and motivating your team. You’ll deputise for the Branch Manager and be involved in all aspects of Post Office life. You’ll also have the chance to put forward new ideas. Being a people person will definitely help you excel.
Making sure that your branch hits targets, you’ll set direction, inspire the team and get everyone working together. Hands-on when you need to be, but also a good planner, you can stay calm, make big decisions and work closely with Store and Regional Business Managers.
